Hypocrisy have a rare talent: They play Death Metal which can have a calming effect. Their often solemn and somber anthems have just the right amount of heaviness mixed with haunting melodies. But they also can unleash blazing attacks, armed with double-bass grandeur and breakneck speed. On Friday, May 6th, Peter Tägtgren and his band took to the stage at the Park Theatre here in Winnipeg, and their epic show was another proof of this metal mastery. The four-piece from Sweden delivered new songs like "Chemical Whore" with an equally fantastic level of musical skills than older gems like "Fire In The Sky", "Fractured Millenium" or "Roswell 47".
They were accompanied by Carach Angren (Symphonic Black Metal), The Agonist (Melodic Death Metal) and Hideous Divinity (Death Metal).
